Selective Androgen Receptor Modulators are a new class of anabolic drugs that were designed to have the same positive effects as Anabolic Androgenic Steroids (AAS), but without the potentially dangerous side effects that come with these.
In order to achieve this goal, SARMs were designed to be as selective as possible. Unlike AAS, which target multiple organs and parts of the body besides the muscles, SARMs only target muscles and bones, which (on paper) means that they have less side effects than AAS since they do not impact the prostate, the heart, the hair, the estrogen receptors, etc…
